It’s that time of the year again where we celebrate Jesus’ birth and a time for gift giving! This year my brother has decided to have a list of items that we want for Christmas and placed it in the tree. I figured to get beauty-related items (of course!) so I requested for brushes and make-up items that I’ve been wanting for a while but can’t get hold off (since they’re mostly online). So here are the items that I got from my brothers and my mom. =)
My brother Calvin gave me Morphe brushes. I’ve been using Real Techniques but wanted to try other brushes. There’s so much hype from some YouTubers on how Morphe brushes are of high quality yet reasonably priced compare with MAC brushes. As you know MAC brushes are so expensive so I’m always on the look out for great-quality brushes (but cheap). 😉 I watched Manny MUA’s videos and got ideas on which ones should I get. He also have a code for discount so that one is a treat!
Here are the Morphe brushes I got:
- M527 Deluxe Pointed Blender (15.99)
- E6 Premium Flat Buffer (14.99)
- E27 Pro Round Blender ($6.99)
- MB16 Chisel Blender ($2.99)
I haven’t used these brushes yet but I’m thinking of using M527 for bronzers, E6 for foundation, E27 for my blending eyeshadows in the crease and the MB16 for blending eyeshadows in my lower waterline.
Onto the next brush I got, my brother Caldrian gave me a MAC 217 brush. I already have a MAC 217 but I’ve been wanting to have more ever since I started using it. It was advertised as a blending brush but I’ve also been using it to put eyeshadows onto my lids. It’s such a versatile brush that I’m already thinking of getting a third one or a Morphe dupe. If you haven’t tried MAC 217 brush ($25.00) I would suggest to try Morphe M433 Pro Firm Blending Fluff first ($11.98) and it’s on sale so you can get it for $5.99! I wished I knew about Morphe M433 brush before I put MAC 217 in my list, imagine how many M433 brushes I can have for the price of a MAC 217 brush!
The last few items that I got were from Colourpop. I have their Ultra Matte Lip in Trap and Tulle so I want to try more of their products since they are so cheap! I like that their packaging are good considering the price of their products (yes, their packaging are not horrible!). I told my mom about their $5 off when subscribing to them so she can save 🙂
I seriously had a hard time choosing products for my mom’s budget since it’s so cheap! I feel like I’ve added so much in my list but there’s still room for more :p
Here are the Colourpop items that I got:
- Crème gel liner in Best O ($5.00)
- Eyeshadow in Mittens ($5.00)
- Highlighter in Wisp ($8.00)
- Lippie Stix in Tootsi, Cookie, and Grunge ($5.00 each)
- Ultra Matte Lip in Beeper ($6.00)
I’m so excited to use these products especially I received them from my family. And like every other make up junkies, testing out new products have always been a delight! 🙂
What did you get for Christmas this year? Have you tried any of these products? Let me know your thoughts on the comments below! 🙂
